Weight Loss Latvia Patient Journey

Debbie

From 123 kg to 79 kg today, I am 44 kg lighter, 9 months post op, and still losing… I’m so grateful to you and your great support , otherwise I would have never had this life changing surgery 🥹🫶🏾🫶🏾

Just a little update, I’m definitely a slow loser, but today I took this picture and I am so shocked at how much progress I’ve made. The hardest part is that I barely took any pictures because when I look in the mirror I don’t see any difference, but today I just compared my pictures, and I am shocked. From 123 kg to 79 kg today, I am 44 kg lighter, 9 months post op. and still losing an average of 4-5 kg per month, which is better to avoid gall bladder attacks. My skin is so much clearer, and my face less puffy. I sleep better at night and my blood results came out good. I have been prioritising only real foods, and no processed stuff. Especially in terms of my protein intake. No whey powders or processed proteins, just pure animal meat and vegetables, and doing strength exercises only. The only cardio I do is walking and swimming. I can finally fit in a medium top, and shop in regular stores which is something I haven’t done since I was 15 years old. My taste buds have changed so much, that I find myself craving fruits and vegetables, and real foods instead of chocolates and biscuits😅, which is something shocking because I never used to even eat fruits, now I have two fruits a day as snacks.

Some days are harder where I have no energy, but most days I’m doing great, and I’m so grateful to you and your great support , otherwise I would have never had this life changing surgery 🥹🫶🏾🫶🏾

Bariatric surgery is a minimally invasive operation performed to help people with severe obesity lose weight safely. It works by reducing the stomach size or rerouting digestion to limit food intake and absorption.

People with a BMI over 30 and obesity-related conditions like diabetes, hypertension, or sleep apnea may qualify. Each patient’s suitability is assessed individually by our medical team.
